Come for coffee in this large café. I'll find a large table near the back.

 

Address 5-6 The Green, Ealing.

STATION  EALING BROADWAY. From station turn left down to  main road. Turn right to Marks & Spencer. Turn left down High St & you come to Ealing Green. Carluccio's is on the left.

BUS           65 stops in Bond St;

             many more stop in New Broadway (at Bond St)

 

Afterwards we can go across Ealing Green to the recently refurbished PITZHANGER MANOR

12.30pm LUNCH at the GEORGE IV, Chiswick High Rd, W4

This pub has been revamped. It is  no longer dark inside and it has a much better layout. I will try to reserve some tables at the back on the ground floor but they may put us upstairs.

It is at 185 Chiswick High Rd, opposite Windmill Road, almost opposite M & S.

TUBE:    Turnham Green

Turn left out of the station. Walk down to the traffic lights, turn right & you will see it on your left

This is a JD Wetherspoon’s pub.  They are renowned for their very reasonably priced food and drinks.  We hope to be sitting at tables near the back.

 

STATION: EALING BROADWAY.  Turn left out of the station and left again at the main road.  The pub is approx 250 yards on the right at 46-47 The Mall.

BUSES: 112, 207, 427,483, 607, E11 stop in The Mall at Ealing Broadway station stop (NB If coming from Acton it is not outside the station but almost outside the pub)

Carluccio's is now newly refurbished and looks very nice.

 

 It is at 31-35 Kew Road, Richmond.  

Turn right out of RICHMOND station, cross the road and you will soon see Carluccio's.

There's a lovely cafe in the park and Gunnersbury Park Museum is now open after a few years refurbishment. We can have a nice walk in the park.

 

Free CAR PARK.

BUS E3. Get off at Gunnersbury Park stop. The main gate is now open.

                From the station get E3 bus for 2 stops.

TUBE - Piccadilly and District line Acton Town. Turn left into Gunnersbury Lane. Continue to the traffic lights at the North Circular. Go straight across and the entrance to the park is on the left. Follow the path to the cafe.

On the ground floor but there are steps inside to some areas.

Disabled toilet is accessed through the garden - all toilets downstairs

I'll book a table inside, but if sunny I'll be outside in the terrace/garden area.

 It is in Scotch Common W13 near the roundabout at the end of Pitshanger Lane.

BUSES:  E2 & E9 from Ealing Broadway (Haven Green) pass the pub. Get off at Kent Gardens

This ancient woodland is open once a year - today. There are birds, butterflies, bluebells, ponds, trees and everything you'd expect to find in an ancient woodland.

Please join me for a trip on the "Merrie Thames" to Teddington Lock and back. About 50 minutes.

Come and have coffee at my home. If you can, bring a few books you have already read and swap them for something different. Any left  over will go to the Oxfam book shop. Only books in good condition please!
